May had all the elements of life on board: exploring, discovering boat issues and fixing them, unwanted medical concerns, and fickle forecasts for cruising. It also involved some socialising and some planning for an upcoming off-boat trip.
At the beginning of May we were in the Gippsland Lakes, Victoria. At the end of May we had made our way north to the ‘Sydney’s northern beaches’ area of Pittwater, New South Wales.

Nice to read about your stay at the Gippsland Lakes, our old home port and original cruising grounds, even if it sounds like Covid has had a lingering impact on track maintenance. What are your plans for the rest of the year?
Hi Chris. Yes, loved the Gippsland Lakes…great birdlife! Plans for the rest of the year (from today) … boat maintenance – including repairs to damage caused by a contractor on another boat! Grr. After that it depends entirely when we get off the slip. We have just waited three weeks for a weather window north, so I guess Huey has some say as well.
